Chapter I Scene 15 Harry, Toni’s friend was looking for her, he had found out about Toni seeing Gene, and was on his way over to Gene’s apartment to deal with him. Toni told her cousin to leave. |

Chapter I Scene 15 She didn’t want her caught in the middle of this drama. Toni didn’t know what to do. She had never seen Harry upset before. He knocked on the door, but she was afraid to answer it. |

Chapter I Scene 15 That’s what you call thinking on your feet. Toni knew she wouldn’t use them, there was no way she could hurt Harry. Harry kept banging on the door, as if he knew someone was home. Toni walked in front of the door, all of a sudden the door opened. |

Chapter I Scene 15 Abruptly she stopped, turned and faced him. She started talking fast. All of a sudden Toni became very calm as if she had been hypnotized. Toni knew the only way to calm Harry down was to touch his heart and reach his ego. She told him she wasn’t going to leave him and everything would be all right. That was the biggest lie yet, but anyone of us will embellish the truth when we feel our life is on the line. |

Chapter I Scene 15 So he put the hammer down and the phone rang. Gene was on the line, he could tell in her voice something was wrong. He felt she was not alone. Gene asked if Harry was there and she responded “yes”. He told her that he would be there as soon as possible. While Toni was waiting for Gene, she was able to bring Harry back to his senses. Harry finally left Gene’s apartment. TO BE CONTINUED |
